Patrickk (Pat)(he/him/his) is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern. He graduated in 2013 with a Bachelors in Psychology from Saint Leo University. He then went on to fulfill his goal of obtaining a Masters in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2018.
Pat’s career working with and for people began in 2015 when he entered into the public school system as an elementary school teacher. He went on to teach multiple grade levels in his six years of education (5th x2, 4th, 3rd, & two years of 9th/12th ELA).
In counseling, Pat strives to maintain a flexible approach and meet the client(s) where they are. His focuses are on developing/obtaining/maintaining coping skills, life skills management, mindfulness, and reframing negative thought patterns.
Pat provides counseling for students, couples, adults, and families. His experience includes working in the public school system as an educator & advocate, mental health clinician within a Florida public school district (where he also had a minor focus on developing an internal small groups system), and working privately as a court ordered counselor for adult couples as well as families/children with a goal of reunification.
In his free time, Pat focuses intentionally on quality time with his wife of 13 years and their dogs & cats; adventuring whenever they can, wherever life takes them. He is a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers (Go Pack Go!) & of the University of Miami (the “U”). He is also hopelessly devoted to the sport of scholastic wrestling (NOT WWE 🙂 ) where he has been a coach/mentor in the surrounding communities since 2016, earning a state champion in 2017 (a feat that is still listed as a #1 achievement on his coaching bucket list).
