Hi! I’m GinaMarie (she/we), a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Mental
Health Counselor (LMHC). I believe deeply in the power of relationships, especially when they
honor each person’s holistic identity and lived experiences. My therapy style is warm,
collaborative, and deeply rooted in respect and dignity. Whether you’re exploring your place in
the world, unpacking generational patterns, or simply trying to breathe a little easier, I’m here to
support you in the ways *You* need, not the ways others might believe are “right”.
As a queer, neurodistinct human myself, I deeply relate to the experience of feeling unsafe,
unseen, and/or misunderstood in traditional settings. My way of being is deeply rooted in the
neurodiversity paradigm, and I see the world through trauma-informed and attachment-based
lenses. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed approaches like Internal Family Systems
(IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and experiential therapy. I have experience
supporting people across the lifespan and across many walks of life, especially those who have
been harmed by and/or feel distrustful of engaging with mental health services for a myriad of
reasons. I do not see therapy as about “fixing” you—I believe it is about reconnecting with and
remembering the parts of yourself that already hold wisdom, strength, and unconditional love.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as an early childhood educator for almost 2 decades. My
time working with young children reinforced my systemic thinking and honed my skills of
patience, curiosity, persistence, playfulness, and open-mindedness. I believe in the power of
storytelling, curiosity, patience, and play between people because I have seen how
transformative these things are when they are working together. I am now a UF Counseling PhD
student, and I also train and supervise future therapists because I enjoy facilitating growth and
change at all levels.
At the end of the day, you’re the main character in your life story. I’d be honored to walk with
you as a guide, witness, and fellow human as you continue to write and live your story—fully
and unapologetically.
