My name is Eryan Johnson (they/he), and I am deeply passionate about guiding individuals and couples toward healing and growth. With a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, my journey into counseling was paved with a commitment to understanding diverse perspectives and empowering others. My path took a pivotal turn when I worked as a near-peer advisor, supporting community college and high school students. During this time, I discovered my calling as a counselor, prompting me to pursue graduate degrees in mental health and marriage and family counseling. Alongside my studies, I immersed myself in practical experience, serving as a substance abuse and community counselor in the Gainesville area.
My clinical practice is guided by the transformative principles of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and mindfulness-based therapies (MBCT). These frameworks allow me to create a safe and inclusive space where individuals and couples can explore their inner landscapes with compassion and curiosity. I specialize in addressing a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma-related concerns like PTSD. As a QTPOC therapist, I am deeply committed to providing affirming and empathetic care to clients from all backgrounds.
Reach out to me, and together, let’s embark on a path towards self-liberation and empowerment. You deserve to feel valued, heard, and supported, and I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
