Vicki Knox, MSW, is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSWI) with the state of Florida. She received a Child Development Degree from Palm Beach State College (2001), a Bachelor of Social Work from Saint Leo University (2018), and a Master of Social Work with clinical concentration from Saint Leo University (2019).
Vicki has worked with children and families in the Gainesville community for the past 12 years as a childcare provider, special education advocate, and case manager. Vicki has gained clinical experience working with children, teens, and adults, to help create more cooperative and connected relationships within their lives. She has spearheaded group therapy for a wide variety of clients from a diverse background and has facilitated families and individuals in a therapeutic setting.
Vicki draws from a Humanistic approach. She utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and a client centered modality to encourage growth, self- acceptance, and healing with her clients. Vicki also uses Play Therapy and the principals of connective and playful parenting to help children move through trauma and developmental stages. She is passionate about teaching parents these powerful tools, as well, to gain confidence and ease when facing the many challenges as parents.
Vicki is a mother of four, an introvert, and an ISFJ. She looks forward to walking alongside you on your journey.
